Airport town with aviation heritage
The town that hosts Malta International Airport — aviation heritage, convenient for travel, and affordable property at the island's transport hub.
RAF Luqa was one of the most active airbases in the Mediterranean during WWII. Luqa was a primary target throughout Malta's 3,000+ wartime bombing raids — one of the most heavily attacked airfields in the Mediterranean. The parish church survived despite taking a direct hit that destroyed the roof. The town's residents sheltered in catacombs beneath the church during air raids.
