Tiny cliff-top village above Xlendi
A tiny cliff-top village on Gozo's south coast overlooking Xlendi — dramatic coastal scenery, very affordable property, and the quietest end of a popular bay.
Munxar's name — bucksaw — supposedly describes the jagged coastal profile visible from the sea. The village's parish church, dedicated to St. Paul, was built in the 1920s after Munxar separated from the Sannat parish. Until then, Munxar residents had to walk to Sannat for every church service, wedding, and funeral.
