Siggiewi's festa of St. Nicholas features one of Malta's most spectacular ground fireworks displays — rival bands of pyrotechnicians spend months preparing mechanical fire sculptures that spin, cascade, and change colour for over an hour. The village was also the birthplace of several prominent Maltese sculptors, and the church contains works by local artisans that rival those in Valletta's cathedrals.
